The answer

The agent drafts, a person approves. Through the whole pilot it writes drafts and sends nothing. After that, every write passes a named approver. The decision stays with whoever signs it.

What disappears is the pasting work: looking for where the information is, copying it into the assistant, copying the answer back again. That is the work that disappears, and it is the team that decides what to do with the time it frees up.
